What to Expect from NXT and SmackDown This Week

This week, WWE is ready to give fans more than pure entertainment. The final episodes of NXT and SmackDown will bring some of the greatest moments so far. On NXT, we’ll see a shorter episode with some already announced matches. SmackDown, however, has something else in store for fans. We should expect one of the best matches and a Royal Rumble.

Damian Priest vs. Keith Lee and Lio Rush

Damian Priest has impressed fans by delivering some good quality performance. He also scored significant victories over former NXT UK champion Pete Dunne. This week, Priest will team up with Tony Nese in a Keith Lee and Lio Rush match. We should expect more from Lee and Priest in the next couple of weeks.

Dominik Dijakovic vs. Roderick Strong

NXT will bring on its Christmas Special, Roderick Strong, and Dominik Dijakovic. Dijakovic is a beast fighter in the ring, and a significant prospect for WWE if he’s handled precisely. Even though he’s had many bookings in the past, he succeeded in providing some intriguing quality performance.

The Lady vs. The Boss

Recently, Lacey Evans argued with Team SmackDown’s captain Sasha Banks, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley for SmackDown’s humiliating loss at Survivor Events. After that, she saved Dana Brooke from a beatdown with Bayley and Banks, confronting The Boss to an offhand match. However, the match didn’t happen, and now we expect a rematch between Evans and The Boss.

The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan and Baron Corbin

The Miz had a tense meeting with Bray Wyatt at TLC. After a significant match, Wyatt could lay down The Miz and score a victory before being led by The Fiend to crash the A-lister with a massive mallet. However, thanks to Miz, Daniel Bryan came to conquer and save the situation in a new look.

Soon, we’ll be ready to see Bryan, Miz, and King Corbin decide who will take on Wyatt at Royal Rumble. With the triple-threat match announced, it looks like Bryan is set for another significant match with the Fiend.
