Splatoon 3 Possible Release Date and Details

Splatoon is on of the most popular video games franchises in the world, as millions of fans have enjoyed countless hours of entertainment while playing the first two games in the series. However, a few years have passed since Splatoon 2 was released, and some fans are looking forward to a new game in the series.

The original Splatoon game was one of the most popular exclusives available on the Nintendo Wii U. It became popular thanks to its addictive gameplay, which offered an impressive third-personal shooter experience for people of all ages.

A growing franchise

Splatoon 2 retained many of the elements which made the original game a hit while also adding a series of improbements. Among the new features, we can count the introduction of new standard, sub, and special weapons, including dual-wield pistors and defensive shotgun-like Brellas for close-quarters combat.

A single-player campaign mode will take players across a series of levels well they have to release captured Zapfish and defeat Octaions. Several multiplayer modes are available in both casual and ranked versions. Players and reviewers alike were pleased by the game and offered positive reviews.

Splatoon 3 possible release date

In recent years Nintendo seems to place a larger focus on attracting well-known AAA publishers to the Switch, as an impressive number of high-profile PC and console games have been ported for the device, including popular hits like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Doom: Eternal.

While Nintendo will publish a few games this year, including Deadly Premonition 2 and Paper Mario: The Origami King, there isn’t any information about a new Splatoon game at this point. Nintendo continues to be interested in the franchise, but it appears that it wants to promote other IPs for now. Wild rumors anticipate that Splatoon 3 could be announced later in the summer, during one of the Nintendo Direct events held by the company.
