The internet is always hard at work on the task of learning more details about projects and products that are being developed by a company. Earlier in June, several sources have claimed that OnePlus is working on a new smartphone that is aimed at the mid-range market.
Some have called the device OnePlus Z, while others believe that it will be called OnePlus Nord. Regardless of the name, the launch has been playfully confirmed by the company via a post shared on a social media network.
The Instagram Account OnePlusLiteZThing shared a teaser written in Morse code. The message contains the world July, inferring that an official announcement related to the device could be shared in less than two weeks. A release date could also be provided, but one is already anticipated.
A leak that surfaced recently mentioned that the device will be released in India on July 10. As the company has already confirmed that the device will be available in India and Europe, it is expected that the device will be released in both regions at the same time, unless OnePlus decides to shift the date to contradict the information included in the leak.
Since the device is aimed at the mid-range market, the specifications will likely be below those of OnePlus 8. The consensus among sources is that the device may be powered by either a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, with the latter being capable of handling intensive tasks with ease.
Other details include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage space. On the front, a display with a 90Hz refresh rate should provide a great media experience. In contrast, a 4,300 mAh battery paired with the proprietary 30-watt fast charging Warp system should provide a solid autonomy.
More information could surface in the following days.
