The developer of Gears 5, The Coalition, has come with details about the “Gearmas” holiday event. There will be new different modes, new items, and notes about future updates. This holiday-themed mode is Jingle Juvies, which is a 20-wave Horde event. It’s full of little devils and boss waves, which contain these devils besides the usual enemies.
Players are able to get 18 Ugly Gearsmas weapon skins if they complete 100 waves of the mode until the event is over. Moreover, anyone who logs in will get a Gearmas themed Jack skin, mark, banner, and blood spray.
The Coalition has talked about the Versus mode. Apparently, Snowball Fight would not come back to Gears 5 this year, because the Free For All was launched together with Operation 2. However, players can still earn the Krampus Scion skin. You just need to get 200 kills in the Free For All mode.
The Gears 5’s Gearmas event went live just a couple of days ago
The Gearmas holiday event began in the game after the release of the latest update, which took place on the 17th of December, at 4 p.m. The update launched to fix the visual corruption on the maps of Nethercutt Free For All and on The Pit, the crashes caused by joining Horde matches, while they’re still in progress, and the unintended teammates in FFA.
After the update was up and running, the Gearsmas holiday event, and all the rewards, will be available for you until the 2nd of January.
Gears 5 is the sixth installment of the Gears of War series, and it’s the second Gears of War game, which was not developed by Epic Games. The last edition was released on the 6th of September, 2019, and the standard version was released all around the globe on the 10th of September, 2019.
