Released in August 2019, Carnival Row is one of the most popular productions available on Amazon Prime Video. The dark fantasy series stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne as a detective and a rebellious fairy involved in the investigations of several murders.
Carnival Row started as a movie project in 2005 before it transitioned to a streaming series format. Some critics weren’t impressed by certain elements of the series, but overall reviews were positive from fans and critics alike, encouraging Amazon to approve the production of a second season.
Plot and returning cast
Many viewers were charmed by the interesting aesthetics that can be found within the dark fantasy Victorian world of the series, and the use of fantastic elements to build a fascinating detective story. Philo and Stonemoss tackle several mysteries in a remarkable setting, and every member of the cast does a great job at bringing the world to life.

The release date for season 2
Fliming for the second season started in November 2019 but the team was forced to stop due to concerns related to COVID-19. After spending two months on a production hiatus the team resumed filming a few weeks ago.
Production delays related to COVID-19 have affected an impressive number of movies and TV series, alongside content that is being made for streaming services, and production schedules have started to clash in some cases. A release date hasn’t been announced at this point.
